Summary
Goalkeepers struggle to stop penalty shots (e.g. Dohmen, 2008; Haigh, 2018). This difficulty arises due to the high velocity, requiring goalkeepers to initiate their dive before the ball even leaves the ground if they hope to stop a shot aimed at one of the corners of the goal. This project aims to identify the clues that help goalkeepers anticipate the trajectory of shots. The study is being conducted online with the province's top athletes.
